How early should I book my tour?

As our spaces fill up quickly, especially during peak season so it’s best to plan ahead and book as early as possible. Larger parties would benefit from booking early, and also those with special requirements.

I can’t seem to pay for my tour online. Is there another way to book with HeliTours?

Simply call or email and we’ll guide you through the payment section or take your booking over the phone. We offer secure payment options on all of our booking platforms.

What if our party doesn’t meet the minimum passenger quota?

Our aircraft can seat parties of 6 passengers. If for some reason there aren’t enough people to meet the minimum criteria, you can choose between upgrading your flight or getting a full refund of the flight cost. For more details refer to our Terms and Conditions.

What if need special assistance?

Please get in touch prior to booking so that we can accommodate your needs.

Can I arrange for the helicopter to pick me up from any location?

As long as we can land a helicopter, we can pick you up. Please call or email our team for a tailor-made charter service.

Do we get to land during our tours?

Only during longer tours such as the Sicilia Shopping Village trip would we consider a landing between flights. We can also accommodate breaks should you choose to create your own tour. Please contact us to arrange a bespoke tour that fits your needs and specifications.

Is there an age limited?

All ages above 2 years are welcome. However, if you are travelling with very small children, we’d like to make you aware that although helicopters are very cool, they are noisy. As long as you feel happy, and your child is happy; we’re happy!

Is there a weight limit for each passenger?

Yes. As with all airlines, we have weight limits that are in place to ensure that safety precautions are met. Passengers weighing over 100kg may need to book a second seat depending on the party size. If you feel that this applies to you, please do not hesitate to contact us on booking@helitoursmalta.com and we’ll be happy to address any concerns you may have.

Can I bring food and drinks to the tour?

We prefer it if you don’t. Alcohol is prohibited, as is prior flight drinking. We hate to go all serious here, but safety comes first. However, we do think that you’ll be too busy enjoying the flight to crack open a picnic! Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements such as allergies in advance.

Will we receive a guided tour?

Yes, of course. Our aircraft has installed the latest technology for media andaudio so that you can receive a fully guided tour that can be taken away to be enjoyed again and again.

What type of helicopters do you operate?

Our fleet consists of the Airbus EC135; designed for smooth and luxurious flying. A globally recognised industry legend, the EC135 has the reputation and requirements that meet the high standards of HeliTours Malta.

Can I take pictures and videos?

As long as you have the approval of the pilot, yes. We have the latest technology that will record your trip, including an audio guided tour. So, don’t worry about getting the right shot; we’ve got you covered.

What are your cancellation policies?

Our cancellation policies are to be found in the T&Cs section of this website. Should you have any further questions that you feel we may have not addressed, please feel free to contact us, and we’ll be happy to help.

What happens if the weather is unsuitable for the trip?

If the unfortunate happens are the weather conditions are not in our favour, we’ll contact you as soon as we know that the flight is cancelled. As the weather can change suddenly, you’ll understand that this may result in your flights being cancelled at last minute. However, if this does happen, we’ll make sure that you receive some form of compensation that’s relative to your booking.

Can I sit in the front?

Yes! But this does depend on the pilot’s discretion due to weight balances.

Can I bring my pets along?

The noise of the helicopter may alarm you pet so it may be better to leave your fur-baby on land. You may purchase ear defenders specially made for pets if you really want your pet to join you on your experience! However, this will need to be arranged as a bespoke flight (full aircraft need to be booked).

What sort of clothing should I wear?

The Maltese climate is generally quite clement and can reach very high temperatures during the summer months. We advise that you dress comfortable for the weather of the day.
